ReplyDeleteI really feel like everyone should have the experience of working retail/food service so that they have an understanding that it can be a busy and demanding job.
ReplyDeleteAlso this woman was clearly in the wrong to bo behind the till to poke through things. I can't imagine thinking that's an okay thing to do in any store.
I think everyone should have to work retail at some point in their lives, just so they understand and appreciate what retail workers deal with on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteRetail, food service, and some sort of custodial. Then they might appreciate the hard work and little thanks that go along with those jobs. Or at least come away with some understanding about why things are done the way they are.
ReplyDeleteI feel you on the trash. I use to run the concession stand at local bridge tournaments. There were two big garbage cans by the food, plus two small garbage bags taped to every single table. They still left garbage everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI see this a lot wherever food is involved (fast food restaurants the most). It is infuriating to step up to a counter and see straw wrappers and crap left by the person who preceded me. WTF. Definitely feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteThat first guy needs a dose of reality. What if someone was phobic/had been attacked by similar dogs and had a bad reaction to his super-energetic friendly staffie? S/he sounds lovely, but seriously, letting it jump over everyone and everything is Not On. My best friend is like that and will barely come in my house if she thinks my little waggy yorkie might possibly go near her :( He needs to watch a bit of Cesar Millan.

I like watching her. She educates owners about how they're reinforcing bad behavior and teaches them (and their dogs) alternatives. I hated that Animal Planet cancelled her show.
